Sometimes having too many options can be stressful. Picking something as simple as an outfit to wear to the airport is no different.
Do I dress for my current city?
Do I dress for my destination?
The answer is… Neither.
You should dress for the airport. Some airports are notoriously cold and some are warm. So, your best bet is to wear layers you can shed. It’s simple but affective.
Plus, you can always change when you get there.
Planes can get cold as well so a zip up hoodie is your best bet. The hood comes in handy for a cold aircraft. Also, it’s easier to take off for TSA.
If a hoodie isn’t you style. A light weight puffer jacket that turns into a neck pillow might be more your speed.
Wearing short shorts is not a good idea.
Think about the time that we’re in. The fewer parts of your skin touching public surfaces the better. And trust me when I say you do not want your skin touching any part of those seats. I’ve seen some not so sanitary things on airport seats.

🗣LADIES PUT ON SOME DAMN CLOTHES AND GENTLEMEN PULL UP YOUR PANTS.
In my time working at the airport, I’ve seen wayyyyy to many exposed body parts. Remember people, children fly too.
You don’t have to wear a suit and tie or a hazmat suit to fly. It’s ok to be comfortable. Just think sensibly.
